Rev. Elzora Williamson, MPS
Rev. Elzora Williamson, a native Brooklynite and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church since 1981. Elzora’s entrepreneurial vision inspired a lifetime of business ownership with her late husband and sister in Crown Heights at the landmark, Trophies by Syl.
She heard the call to ministry as a child but did not accept the call until later adulthood. Under the leadership of her pastor, Rev. Anthony L. Trufant, her true Chrsitian mission began. She received her B.A. Degree at the College of New Rochelle and a Masters of Professional Studies from New York Theological Seminary in May of 2003.
At Emmanuel Baptist Church, Rev. Williamson is Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care. She visits the homes or hospitals of members who are sick and shut in. Rev. Williamson often coordinates outreach to local nursing homes where she brings forth prayer and encouragement. Incorporating her counseling skills with her knowledge of the word, Rev. Williamson facilitated a grief ministry entitled, “Healing our Hearts.” Rev. Williamson serves as chaplain of Creating Legacies. She inspires, “Bringing families fun, while bringing families together…” through counseling, prayer, weddings, baby dedications and extensive community outreach. Rev. Williamson tirelessly serves her church and community with grace and distinction.
